Professor Jordan has formulated a solution he calls "wonder fluid." While showing the formula to Tim, Jordan drops the solution and the fumes imbue Jordan with great strength. With his superhuman strength, Jordan decides to fight crime using the moniker of Captain Wonder. Tim, who has witnessed the accident that gave Jordan his powers, becomes Jordan's sidekick.
