About the series
A short-lived but visually striking Marvel western from the late 1940s, Kid Colt ran for just four issues, with writer Ernie Hart and artist Russ Heath defining its brief run. The series introduced the titular young gunslinger, a quick-drawing hero navigating the lawless frontier. Though its original run was brief, Heath's clean, dynamic artwork gave the character a memorable presence that would later be revived in Marvel's larger western line.
