After Jack Magniconte finds out that Chase is selling the team to finance her gambling debts, the pair agree to a charity tennis match to determine the team's future: if Jack wins, the team stays in New York; if Chase wins, she can sell the team. Jack easily wins, and a bitter Chase fires him from the team.
