Kaznodzieja #[9]
Glenn Fabry's cover for this 2005 Egmont Polska edition of Kaznodzieja ("Preacher") is a striking image: a preacher in clerical collar, pinned beneath the crushing coils of an enormous serpent, gazes upward with an expression caught somewhere between defiance and desperation — a looming cross and skulls framing the scene behind him. The subtitle Na południe ("Southward") hints at a journey into darker territory, while the interior story "Stare znajome twarze" ("Old Familiar Faces") promises the kind of sharp, unsettling storytelling Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon deliver so well. A compelling entry in this Polish-language Vertigo series.
