Part of DC's 1976 Bicentennial celebration, this issue of the Legion of Super-Heroes' premier martial artist pits Karate Kid against a red-and-gold costumed villain called The Revenger — and the cover's tagline pulls no punches: "Three Times Strikes The Revenger — And Each Blow Brings Death!" Mike Grell's dynamic cover art captures Karate Kid in mid-flying kick, trading blows with The Revenger while a red-haired woman looks on in the background and bullet holes pepper the scene around them. It's a kinetic, fists-and-fury showcase for DC's "mightiest martial arts master of all," with interior story and art by Barry Jameson, Ric Estrada, and Joe Staton bringing the action to life.
