Justice League: Rebirth Deluxe Edition #2
In "Max Lord: Rebirth," writer Bryan Hitch and artist Bryan Hitch deliver a tightly wound mystery that pulls the Flash and Batman into a time-bending crisis, racing to prevent a catastrophic power source failure before it happens. With the Justice League scattered and an alien threat still looming, the duo uncovers a sabotage plot that forces them to rethink everything—especially the connection between the alien tech and the being they just fought. The issue’s dramatic tension is elevated by Paul Pelletier’s cover art and the crisp inks of Sandra Hope.

Having traveled back in time even further, the Flash explains to Batman the problem, and the two leave the rest of the Justice League fighting an alien to try and figure out what goes wrong with the power source demonstration before it happens. They uncover a plot to sabotage the demonstration and the League regroups to try to stop the explosion, but all that was needed was rejoining the alien tech powering the energy source with its owner, the alien with whom the League had just fought.
