Justice League of America #85
In "The Fantastic Fingers of Felix Faust!", the Justice League of America faces a sinister mind game as the enigmatic sorcerer Felix Faust manipulates time itself, turning the heroes into unwitting pawns. Written by Gardner Fox and illustrated by Mike Sekowsky, with inks by Bernard Sachs and letters by Gaspar Saladino, this 1970 DC classic sees the League scattered across eras, trapped by Faust’s schemes while he seeks the Red Jar of Calythos, the Green Bell of Uthool, and the Silver Wheel of Nyorlath—keys to unleashing the ancient Demons Three. The cover by Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson captures the eerie, time-warping tension of a battle where even the past is a weapon.

Felix Faust learns that the Demons Three -- Abnegazar, Rath, and Ghast -- can only be freed from a spell involving the Red Jar of Calythos, the Green Bell of Uthool, and the Silver Wheel of Nyorlath, which were hidden long ago by their jailers, the Timeless Ones. Meanwhile, the Lord of Time unleashes warriors of the past and future on the present to steal for him. As the League tries to stop him, they disappear one by one and find themselves under the control of Felix Faust, who orders them to retrieve the items needed to free the Demons Three.
