The cover by George Pérez says it all — a massive, wide-eyed figure in blue and red dominates the image, tangled in ropes and swarmed by tiny armored soldiers, while recognizable JLA members including Black Canary, Hawkman, the Atom, the Flash, and Batman scramble across his enormous body in a wonderfully chaotic scene. The tagline "The Bigger They Are…" perfectly sets up the scale-shifting stakes of this third chapter of "Into the Microcosmos," suggesting the League has ventured somewhere very small indeed. Gerry Conway's writing and Don Heck's interior art bring the adventure to life, while Pérez's kinetic cover makes this 1983 issue hard to put back on the shelf.
