Justice League Elite #3
In "Candle in a Hurricane," the Justice League Elite races against time in Changsha to prevent bloodshed during a high-stakes standoff. As Sister Superior clashes with Wolfwood, the team works to protect civilians and subdue the Blood Brothers, with Kasumi injured, Manitou Raven holding his ground, and Coldcast reviving fallen soldiers. Joe Kelly's gripping narrative, brought to life by Doug Mahnke’s dynamic art and Tom Nguyen’s sharp inks, captures the tension as the mission teeters on the edge of disaster—until a shocking moment leaves the city’s president, Hi-Shan Bhat, dead. The cover by Doug Mahnke and Tom Nguyen perfectly frames the chaos.
