“The Parliaments of Life Part 1”

Animal Man charges forward in his blue-and-white costume, fists clenched and determined, emerging from a landscape of strange flowers and decay — with several fallen figures, including a stricken Wonder Woman, strewn around him. The cover's tagline "From the Rot… Enter Animal Man" sets an ominous, otherworldly tone that feels right at home in this series' blend of superhero action and supernatural horror. Written by James Tynion IV and Ram V, with a striking cover by Guillem March, issue #20 looks like a compelling chapter in "The Parliaments of Life.
