Justice League Dark #21

The cover by Yanick Paquette says it all — Wonder Woman and Zatanna surge through a tide of grotesque, decaying creatures, blades and magic blazing as the tagline warns "The Rot Shall Inherit the Earth!" A snarling humanoid chimp joins the fray on the right while monstrous forms press in from every direction, giving the whole image a feverish, supernatural intensity. Written by Ram V and James Tynion IV with interior art by Álvaro Martínez Bueno, this 2020 installment of "The Parliaments of Life" looks like exactly the kind of dark, sprawling magical chaos Justice League Dark does best.
