Justice League America #101

Part 2 of "The Way of the Warrior" finds the Justice League America in serious trouble — the cover by Charles Wojtkiewicz and Ken Branch puts a battered Wonder Woman at the mercy of a mass of enormous green alien creatures, while above her, teammates including Aquaman and Firestorm dive into the fray through a debris-filled void. The sense of overwhelming odds is palpable, with grasping alien hands dominating the foreground and the League looking like they're fighting uphill against something far bigger than themselves. Gerard Jones scripts this 1995 DC chapter, and if the cover is any indication, "Pressure Cooker" is an apt title for what's inside.
