Justice League #42
In "Darkseid War, Chapter Two: The New God," Superman and Lex Luthor land on Apokolips under mysterious circumstances, drawing the immediate attention of Darkseid—while back on Earth, Wonder Woman faces off against Grail before Metron whisking the Justice League to the Rock of Eternity. There, as Batman takes a fateful seat once occupied by a god, the team confronts a cryptic truth hidden within Metron’s chair, and the line between ally and enemy blurs for Myrina Black. Written by Geoff Johns and illustrated with striking precision by Jason Fabok, with Brad Anderson’s colors and Rob Leigh’s lettering, the cover by Jason Fabok and Jaime Mendoza captures the weight of this pivotal moment in the Justice League’s journey.

Sent there by Lena Luthor, Superman and Lex Luthor's arrival on Apokolips does not go unnoticed by Darkseid. Meanwhile, back on Earth, after a brief battle between Wonder Woman and Grail, Metron transports the Justice League away from the Anti-Monitor to the Rock of Eternity. Elsewhere Myrina Black reveals her background and discovers that Mister Miracle isn't the ally she thought he was. At the Rock of Eternity, the League doesn't find answers forthcoming from Metron, and once they realize the source of his information is his chair, they remove him, and Batman takes his seat, becoming a god.
