Kanto and Lashina's killing of a human woman brings out the Justice League, but their detective work is interrupted by the arrival of Grail, who seeks the artifact from another universe that Power Ring holds. With the ring, Grail brings about the arrival of The Anti-Monitor. Meanwhile, Mister Miracle escapes from Darkseid, then Kanto and Lashina, and finally falls at the feet of the assassins' target, Myrina Black.
