Justice League #31
Part two of the "Justice/Doom War" arrives wrapped in DC's 2019 "Year of the Villain: Evil Unleashed" banner, and Francis Manapul's cover makes the scope feel genuinely enormous. The Flash surges forward crackling with speed lightning at the center, flanked by a sweeping collage of heroes — Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Superman, and many more — above, while a massive, menacing figure looms in shadow below alongside a fiery Firestorm-like form, and a gallery of grinning villains lurks along the top edge. The tagline "Chaos Across Hypertime!" neatly sets the stakes, promising a multiversal struggle that Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Jorge Jiménez, and Alejandro Sánchez have clearly built toward in fine style.

Having traveled through hypertime into the past, Flash and Green Lantern are surprised to encounter the JSA, of whom Barry and John have no memory. They team with the JSA to retrieve a Totality fragment from Pearl Harbor on the dawn of the infamous attack before the Legion of Doom can claim it. In the future after the Great Disaster, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman search for a Totality fragment in a world controlled by Brainiac. In the present, Starman, Hawkgirl, Mera, Shayne, the Monitor, and the World Forger race to the end of the Universe to recruit the Anti-Monitor to defeat Luthor.
