Just Imagine Stan Lee with Kevin Maguire Creating the Flash #[nn]
In this 2002 DC standout, Stan Lee teams with Kevin Maguire for a bold reimagining of the Flash mythos, introducing a new hero born from tragedy and speed. When Lady Zakara eliminates anyone who stands in her way to time travel, she kills Professor Maxwell—only to unwittingly pass his power to his daughter, who now races to stop her. The story, illustrated with kinetic energy by Maguire and inked by Story, blends emotional stakes with high-octane action, all wrapped in a striking cover by Maguire and Story.

Lady Zakara murders anyone who gets in the way of her time travel project. She pursues Professor Maxwell to gain his scientific expertise. He refuses and is killed, but not before he has imbued his daughter with super-speed. She takes vengeance on the killers, and Lady Zakara brings on her own death by too-hasty use of the experimental time-travel device.
