Jungle Girl Season 2 #4

Frank Cho's cover for this 2009 Dynamite issue puts the blonde, knife-wielding Jungle Girl at the center of a tense standoff — her back to the viewer as she presses against a massive dark rock formation, surrounded on both sides by armed, reptilian humanoid creatures closing in from the water's edge. The composition does a clever job of placing readers right behind her, sharing that hemmed-in feeling as spears bristle on all sides. With writing from Cho and Doug Murray and interior art by Adriano Batista, Season 2 continues to deliver pulpy prehistoric adventure in fine style.
