Jumbo Comics #5 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. "Peter Pup" follows the character as he falls into soft white cream on the moon, then encounters other lunar inhabitants and eventually returns to Earth with the aid of a horse and his friends. "The Adventures of Tom Sherrill" (Chapter Fourteen: "A Water Attack") depicts settlers defending themselves during a river ambush by Indians, with the protagonists Sneerface and Jim falling into the water during the conflict. "Spencer Steel" by Dennis Colebrook shows Spencer Steel apprehending a fugitive named Dence Andrews, who attempts to escape but is ultimately caught with the help of Steel's tactics and a plant used as a ruse.
