"Sheena—Jungle Queen Battles Voodoo Flames" depicts Sheena confronting voodoo-related threats in the jungle. The issue also includes "ZX5—Spies in Action: The Lightning," a spy adventure, along with stories featuring Stuart Taylor and Midnight the Wild Black Stallion. Additionally, "Dead Man's Share" by Tom Russell follows prospectors Jack O'Brian and Leo Leroux competing over a gold claim in the frozen north, with Jack discovering Leo's suspicious death hole in the ice and investigating the circumstances. The final visible story shows ZX5 and Agatha Thistle in action at an airfield, pursuing enemies and stopping imposters trying to infiltrate military gates.
When Sheena, Bob Reynolds, and Chim trek through the jungle toward a crucial political meeting at Molobo, they walk straight into Chief Bazi's deadly snare—the outlaw warrior has rigged the path with traps, a sabotaged rope bridge, and hidden warriors, determined to keep the jungle queen from reaching her destination alive. After narrowly escaping a collapsed bridge with Chim's help, Sheena and Bob find themselves captured and dragged to Bazi's village, where a dark ritual awaits them under the glow of sacred flames. With enemies closing in and their lives hanging by a thread, the trio must pit their wits and courage against an adversary who will stop at nothing to prevent them from leaving the jungle alive.
Uncle Otto sets his sights on a Valentine's Day romance in this charming one-pager. When he tries his hand at wooing with a heartfelt card, things don't quite go as planned—but Uncle Otto's earnest efforts make for a delightful comic moment that captures the bumbling sweetness of love at first try.
