In "The Slave Runners of Bombaru," Sheena returns to the jungle kingdom of Bombaru after the death of King K'Jabo, where she witnesses the coronation of Simbulu—only to see Bulgora openly challenge the new ruler’s legitimacy. Months later, she and Bob lead a caravan of soldiers to reinforce Simbulu, but are ambushed by Bulgora and his followers, who seize Bob and the king. With quick thinking and courage, Sheena stages a daring rescue, confronting the rebels and ultimately helping Simbulu prove his right to rule.
