Fiction House packed a lot of excitement into this October 1949 issue of Jumbo Comics, and the cover makes the most of every inch. Sheena, Queen of the Jungle — her blonde hair flying and leopard-print shorts unmistakable — is hauled across the side of a canoe by a man in a red shirt while a massive, snarling leopard lunges from above and hostile figures close in from the water below. The cover teases Sheena putting "skill and daring against the Mad Mistress of the Congo Tuskers!" alongside additional features "Ghost Gallery" and "The Hawk," making this a genuinely full 52-page package for a dime.
