Jughead's sheepdog Hot Dog has clearly gotten ahead of the training curve — the cover by Dan DeCarlo shows Jughead excitedly brandishing a copy of "How to Teach Your Dog Tricks" while Hot Dog lounges smugly in a lawn chair beside his elaborately appointed doghouse, reading "How to Keep from Being Dominated by Humans." Standing alongside Jughead is a bemused pal (looking very much like Archie), and the whole gag lands with cheerful precision. At 256 pages, this 1990 digest is a generous helping of Riverdale humor that makes clear Hot Dog may be the smartest one in the yard.
