Jughead #30

Jughead Jones is absolutely in his element on this cheerful 1992 cover by Rex W. Lindsey — buried up to his shoulders in a mountain of burgers, eyes closed in pure bliss, clutching a dripping, fully-loaded sandwich while a speech bubble promises "…and a million fries to go!" It's the kind of gleefully over-the-top image that captures everything fans love about Riverdale's most dedicated food enthusiast, crown cap and all. A small inset panel teases interior action, and with the book now on a monthly schedule, issue #30 is a fine jumping-on point for anyone who appreciates their comics served with a side of absurdist humor.
