Judge Dredd the Megazine #8

Shaky Kane's cover for this August 1992 issue of Judge Dredd the Megazine is a striking ensemble piece, dominated by a snarling blue-skinned figure in purple charging forward and leveling a chunky red firearm straight at the reader. Surrounding him is a crowd of colorful, cross-emblazoned characters in blue and yellow costumes, a trench-coated figure in the background, and a couple of bystanders lurking at the lower left — giving the whole composition a wonderfully chaotic, pop-art energy. Inside, Garth Ennis and Dean Ormston continue "Judgement Day" with Part 15, keeping the pressure on in one of 2000 AD's most ambitious ongoing storylines of the era.
