JSA All-Stars #12
The cover by Freddie Williams II plunges the JSA All-Stars straight into a space battle, with energy beams streaking across a star-filled sky, alien vessels bearing down, and heroes caught in the thick of it — a glowing, golden-armored figure dominates the center while a blue-and-gold flyer dodges below and a fiery red-haired hero clashes above near an exploding ship. "Winds of War!" blazes across the scene, promising that Part 1 of "Yon Twelve-Winded Sky" is going to hit the team from every direction at once. Matthew Sturges, Howard Porter, and Art Thibert bring this January 2011 chapter to life with the kind of all-hands-on-deck energy that makes this series a genuine treat for JSA fans.

While the rest of the team is off fighting an inter-stellar war, Maxine is trying to cope with the loss of her Cyclone powers by diving back into her schoolwork. After a conversation with her friend Tim, she returns to her dorm room to find a fully-costumed doppelganger. While they try to figure out who is who, Tim peeks at Maxine's work and experiments on himself, apparently giving himself powers. But when Tim can't control his new powers, a third Cyclone arrives on the scene to investigate.
