Part three of the "Black Reign" arc arrives with a cover that pulls no punches: Black Adam — in his striking black-and-gold costume — dominates the composition, reeling back mid-air while Hawkman drives a fist into him with fierce conviction. Below them, a chaotic aerial melee unfolds, with Hawkgirl, a winged figure bearing a staff, and a hulking beast-like combatant all tangled in the fray against a stormy sky. John Watson's painted cover work gives the whole scene a visceral, almost cinematic weight that makes this 2004 chapter of the JSA's most intense storylines feel genuinely urgent.
