JSA #47

Part two of "Princes of Darkness" arrives with a cover by Michael Bair that radiates menace — Hawkman spreads his great wings wide overhead, battle-axe and mace raised in each fist, while Power Girl, the Sandman, and Jay Garrick's Flash stand resolute below, all framed by a pair of glowing demonic eyes looming in the darkness above. Writers David Goyer and Geoff Johns, along with artist Leonard Kirk and inker Keith Champagne, bring their considerable talents to this 2003 DC series that clearly isn't afraid to pit its roster against something formidable. If the cover's mood is any indication, the Justice Society has its hands very full this issue.
