Journey into Mystery #106
In "The Thunder God Strikes Back!", Thor—disguised as Dr. Blake—navigates a web of deception as he outwits foes and reclaims his stolen cane, only to face a deeper betrayal that leaves him isolated. Written by Stan Lee and brought to life with dynamic energy by Jack Kirby, Chic Stone, and Stan Goldberg, this 1964 issue delivers a tense, character-driven clash of wits and might. The cover by Jack Kirby and Chic Stone captures the moment’s intensity, setting the stage for a story where loyalty is tested and the line between hero and impostor blurs.
