"Death by Invitation" follows a lighthouse keeper named Seth Doane who seeks a wife through a marriage agency and receives a letter that mysteriously blows away during a storm, only to be returned by supernatural forces with an ominous prophecy. "The Stolen Corpse" begins at a college faculty club where Professor Temple recounts a strange tale about a man named Larry Temple who desired a beautiful woman but whose fate led to a gruesome discovery involving the dead and a hunchback. "The Monster's Revenge" depicts a hunter named Dorene who is stalked and attacked by a giant cat-like creature in retaliation for his hunting, leading to a confrontation with indigenous people.
John Markson, terrified by a death sentence from his doctor, becomes consumed by rage at the injustice of the world’s criminals living while he faces death. In a twisted act of vengeance, he dons a Death costume and begins sending chilling invitations to those he believes deserve to die, starting with the ruthless gangster Dan Castelli. As he moves from one target to the next, his campaign of retribution grows, but the line between justice and madness begins to blur.
In the isolated solitude of a storm-lashed lighthouse, lonely keeper Seth Powers answers a lonely hearts ad in a magazine, only to have his letter vanish into the sea—where it’s soon retrieved by a mysterious, cold-eyed woman claiming to be his bride. As the night unfolds with flickering lights and eerie signals, Seth is unsettled by her unnatural presence and the chilling revelation that she is no ordinary woman, but a being from beneath the waves.
In the isolated coastal lab of the disgraced Professor Temple, a man tormented by his hunchback and rejected love turns to dark science, stealing the corpse of his beloved Sandra Thompson to resurrect her as a perfect, obedient robot—her mind wired with the knowledge of her artificial nature. As the experiment succeeds and the two begin their strange life together, strange behaviors and a missing robot chassis hint at something far more unsettling than mere mechanical failure.
In the jungles of Africa, famed big-game hunter Dorene Christy pushes deeper into the wild, defying her superstitious guides who fear the "gorilla people"—creatures said to transform from apes to humans at night. After killing a gorilla she believes is merely a beast, she flees in terror, only to find herself haunted by unseen eyes and the chilling sensation of being pursued—until a stranger in New York forces her to confront a terrifying truth from her past.
