Josie and the Pussycats #63
In "That Magic Melody," Josie navigates a series of awkward encounters with men who seem only interested in using her, leading her to reconsider her judgment when Alan M. shows up—quietly kind, but so reserved she wonders if he's even interested at all. Written by Frank Doyle and brought to life with Stan Goldberg’s expressive art and Jon D’Agostino’s crisp inks, this 1972 issue captures a sweet, subtle moment of teenage uncertainty, with Barry Grossman’s colors and Bill Yoshida’s lettering adding warmth to the mood. The cover by Goldberg and D’Agostino perfectly captures Josie’s thoughtful expression as she weighs her next move.
