“Up Up and Away!!”

In "Up Up and Away!!," the Pussycats find themselves floating high above the countryside after a balloon ride goes awry—thanks to Melody’s accidental release of the gondola. Written by Frank Doyle and brought to life with Dan DeCarlo’s signature style and Rudy Lapick’s crisp inks, this 1971 adventure sees the girls crash-land in a quiet town where a thief is hiding with the legendary "Rose Bowl." With music as their weapon and Valerie’s afro as an unexpected shield, the trio must outwit a crook before the priceless artifact is lost—no easy feat when you're stranded in a strange town with no way down. Cover by Dan DeCarlo and Rudy Lapick.

Alex arranges for the Pussycats to take a balloon ride as a promotional stunt, but Melody accidentally releases the balloon before the balloonist shows up to steer them. After the guys try to get them down, the girls crash-land near a small town where a crook is holed up in a building after stealing the priceless bowl owned by Lady Petalon Rose -- known as the "Rose Bowl." The Pussycats lure him out with their music, but it takes Valerie's afro to protect the valuable bowl from being broken.
