Jonah Hex: Two-Gun Mojo #5

The fifth and final chapter of Two-Gun Mojo arrives with a cover that captures the miniseries' strange, fever-dream energy perfectly — a scarred, undead-looking Jonah Hex charges forward on horseback, pistol drawn and sword raised, while an enormous skull looms through the fiery orange haze behind him. Tim Truman's cover art (pencils and inks) fuses classic Western grit with something altogether more unsettling, matching the Vertigo imprint's mature, uncompromising tone. Joe R. Lansdale and Tim Truman's "Showdown" promises exactly the kind of climax the title suggests — and that skull-bridled horse galloping out of the inferno makes it hard to look away.
