☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeIssue three of six in DC's 2001 event series finds the Joker perched atop a massive Easter Island–style stone head, scowling despite the cover's cheeky taunt — "Why Isn't This Man Smiling?" — while a chaotic army of Jokerized villains swarms the foreground, armed and grinning with green-tinged menace. The cover art by Scott McDaniel and Klaus Janson packs the scene with wild energy: chainsaw-wielding figures, a woman in pink, a hulking brute, and more Joker-faced statues stretching into the background, all suggesting the Clown Prince's influence has spread dangerously wide. Written by Chuck Dixon and Scott Beatty with art by Walter McDaniel, "Lunatic Fringe" promises the series' escalating mayhem is far from its peak.
