From 1943 comes this cheerful slice of wartime humor, as a blonde woman in a red sweater counts off ("77-78-79-") while enthusiastically spanking a hapless fellow who's tumbled face-first into the desert dirt, his bicycle tangled dramatically around a towering cactus behind them. Fred Bell's bright, energetic linework gives the desert-set slapstick a wonderfully lively punch that perfectly suits Timely's go-to comedy anthology of the era.
