John Constantine, Hellblazer: Dead in America #3
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePart of DC's Black Label Sandman Universe line, this third chapter of Dead in America arrives with one of the more unsettling covers of 2024. Aaron Campbell's artwork fans out in dramatic radiating bands, each one revealing a different grotesque skeletal figure — rotting, armed, and coffin-bound — while a solitary, trench-coated Constantine stands apart on the far left, cigarette smoke curling upward beside a hanging vase, a spray of blue flowers blooming incongruously at the bottom. Simon Spurrier, Campbell, and colorist Jordie Bellaire are crafting something genuinely atmospheric here, and this issue makes clear that John's American road is lined with the very worst the dead have to offer.
