Part six of "The Obsidian Age: The Hunt for Aquaman" arc brings the intensity to a fever pitch in this 2002 DC thriller. Doug Mahnke and Tom Nguyen's cover puts Superman and Wonder Woman at the center of a brutal clash, surrounded by fierce ancient warriors — one wielding a massive axe, another crossing blades — while an enormous grey fist and a menacing pale figure with glowing red eyes loom over the fray. Joe Kelly's run on JLA was consistently delivering big, mythic scale, and this cover makes clear the League is in seriously over their heads.
