In "Dangerous Enemy," Jim Bowie confronts the troublemaking Charles Evarts, a newcomer to the frontier town who has allied with Coyotes and caused conflict with the local Indians. After an angry bear attack kills Evarts' war pony, Bowie tracks a white wolf through the wilderness, discovering it is connected to Evarts' schemes. Bowie gathers concerned townspeople to address the escalating violence and threats posed by Evarts and his associates, ultimately taking action to protect the settlement from further danger.
