The finale of Marvel's 2017 Inhumans vs. X-Men event arrives with a cover that says everything about where the conflict has landed: a blonde, black-clad Emma Frost stands tall at the center, one hand raised with cool authority, while a sprawling crowd of fallen and battered X-Men surrounds her — Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, and many others strewn across a smoke-choked battlefield beneath a massive, burning structure. Leinil Francis Yu's linework gives the scene a weighty, almost cinematic tension, with the fiery sky and crumbling architecture selling the enormous scale of this war's conclusion. Written by Jeff Lemire and Charles Soule, this sixth and final issue promises a reckoning that's been building since the very first shot was fired.
