An anthology of true wartime stories, this issue features "Andrews of Asia," in which explorer Andrews discovers dinosaur eggs in the Gobi Desert and transports them back to the American Museum of Natural History; "Rescue from Truk," depicting Lieutenant George Blair's daring rescue of a downed pilot from one of Japan's strongest naval bases in the Pacific; and a story about a farm boy named Ernie who enlists after hearing about the attack on Pearl Harbor, eventually earning a promotion to soldier despite initially causing trouble on the farm and being warned against enlisting by his uncle.
