Iron Man's red-and-gold armor dominates the foreground of this June 1997 issue, wreathed in an eerie green energy as a massive, imposing armored figure looms in the background — the cover tagline "Rebel Yell!" promising serious conflict ahead. Whilce Portacio's pencils (inked by John Dickenson) deliver a striking sense of scale and tension, with the two armored figures locked in what feels like an inevitable showdown. Writer Jeph Loeb's "Rebel, Rebel" looks to be a charged chapter in this mid-'90s volume of The Invincible Iron Man.
