Escaping from his capture last issue Iron Man battles Steele, who was left behind to dismantle him. Hearing the fight, the Marauder returns and takes out Iron Man again. Then the Marauder threatens to nuke Detroit calling Pepper to demand Stark pay a ransom to prevent it. Returning to the shuttle from the call the Marauder finds a recharged Iron Man shaking free of the debris that buried him and the battle resumes. Ultimately Iron Man wins and defuses the bomb. In the background to the main action, a jealous Happy leaves Pepper because she's never available.
