The 2026 Iron Man series (Vol. 8) was announced at New York Comic Con and launched January 28, 2026, pairing writer Joshua Williamson — returning to Marvel after a high-profile run at DC — with artist Carmen Carnero, who shares pencilling duties on issue #4 with Jan Bazaldua, inked in color by Nolan Woodard. Ryan Stegman provided cover art throughout the opening arc, with Frank Martin on cover colors. The series was positioned as a fresh-start ongoing that nonetheless honors the character's full continuity, and issue #4, subtitled 'Tony Stark: Disassembled,' is the climax of that debut arc, released April 8, 2026.
