Iron Man #3 (legacy #683) is the third chapter of Joshua Williamson and Carmen Carnero's 2026 run — the first sustained creative pairing to headline the character's solo title since Williamson's decade-long absence from Marvel. History

The series was announced at Marvel's Next Big Thing panel at New York Comic Con in October 2025, with Williamson — best known as one of the principal architects of DC's Rebirth era — describing the project as a personal passion, framing Tony Stark himself as 'the most dangerous weapon in the Marvel Universe.' Issue #3 was written by Williamson with interior art by Carmen Carnero (a Marvel 'Legacy Stormbreaker'), colors by Nolan Woodard, lettering by Joe Caramagna, cover art by Ryan Stegman and Frank Martin, and edited by Danny Khazem under senior editor Wil Moss, with C.B. Cebulski as editor-in-chief. It shipped March 25, 2026, as part of the direct-market weekly cycle.
