Iron Man #15

The cover of this April 1999 issue says it all: Iron Man, armored up in a heavy-duty red-and-gold suit bristling with oversized weaponry, hurtles forward through a storm of debris while Nitro — glowing with volatile energy, fists raised — closes in behind him, billed right on the cover as "The Hero Killer." Sean Chen's cover pencils give the whole scene a kinetic, almost overwhelming energy, with shrapnel and shockwaves radiating in every direction. With Kurt Busiek and Roger Stern co-writing and "Exploded View" as the story title, this issue promises a confrontation between Tony Stark and one of Marvel's most dangerously unpredictable villains.
