Iron Man #10

Two armored titans clash at the center of this August 1997 issue, their gauntlets meeting in a blinding surge of energy that dominates the cover — one figure in blue-and-grey, the other in Iron Man's signature red-and-gold, with a smaller armored figure visible between them and what appears to be a winged character in the background corner. Terry Shoemaker's cover pencils give the confrontation a kinetic, close-quarters intensity that makes "Dead Man Walking" feel genuinely ominous. Writer Jeph Loeb and artist Terry Shoemaker are at the helm for what promises to be a charged chapter in this volume of The Invincible Iron Man.
