Iron Fist #2

From 1975 Marvel Comics comes this second chapter of Iron Fist's solo series, "Valley of the Damned!", with a cover by Gil Kane and John Romita that crackles with kinetic energy — Danny Rand charges forward, his fist blazing with chi-fire, squaring off against a massive, shadowy creature in a jungle setting while a blonde woman lies vulnerable at its feet. The cover copy promises "Martial Arts Mayhem in the Forest of Fear," and that urgent declaration — "Unless I can destroy this creature, that helpless girl is doomed!" — perfectly captures the high-stakes tension Kane and Romita have rendered so vividly.
