In "A Dark and Deadly Place!", the final clash unfolds between the Ultra-Humanite, the Stream-controlled members of the JSA, and Infinity Inc. as the team fights to end the corruption once and for all. With the cost of victory high and a sacrifice made by Brainwave Jr.'s father, the Infinitors destroy the Stream to prevent the JSAers from becoming permanently evil. The battle ends, but the aftermath lingers as the JSAers slowly regain their senses, remembering what they became under the Stream’s influence. The final battle between Ultra-Humanite, the Stream-controlled JSAers, and Infinity Inc. The battle is won, but at a cost as Brainwave Jr.'s dad sacrifices his life so that the Humanite can be defeated by the Infinitors. The team then destroys the Stream once and for all before the JSAers can redrink its waters and become permanently evil. The JSAers then slowly begin to return to normal, aware of what had happened under the Stream's 'influence'.
