Thanos and the Surfer become unlikely allies in the face of the threat the Goddess poses. She sends her followers to drop a bomb in Avengers HQ but the acolytes find the complex empty when they arrive. That's because the Avengers and their allies are on the way to Paradise Omega in modified Quinjets. Thanos explains his plans to the heroes and, with the help of a powered up Silver Surfer, they are able to make planet fall on the Goddess' world. The heroes prepare to battle their mind controlled former friends and allies. Within the Soul Gem, Adam Warlock petitions the Magus for his help.
