“The Damned”

In "The Damned," Jim Starlin delivers a gripping chapter of Infinity Crusade as the Watcher alerts Iron Man, Captain America, and Vision to a mysterious universal peace wave emanating from the Goddess—leaving heroes divided on whether it's salvation or a trap. With Warlock, Thanos, and Mephisto forming an uneasy alliance and Professor X’s desperate call to Moondragon ending in a brutal mind blast, the heroes race toward Paradise Omega armed with a harmonic disruptor, while the Silver Surfer breaks free to confront Firelord. Ron Lim’s dynamic art, inked by Al Milgrom, brings the cosmic stakes to life, and the cover by Lim and Milgrom captures the moment the Goddess’ power begins to unravel.

The Watcher informs Cap, Iron Man and Vision that the Goddess has sent out a universal peace wave. They begin to debate whether the Goddess is doing harm or good. Warlock, Thanos and Mephisto meet to discuss the situation. Mephisto agrees to help if he can have a Cosmic Cube in return. Professor X contacts Moondragon on Paradise Omega but gets mind blasted. With a harmonic disruptor in their possession, the heroes head for Paradise Omega. The Surfer breaks the Goddess' hold over him and is forced to battle Firelord.
