This issue contains two stories. "Lone Wolf of the Hurons" depicts a military conflict in which a lone rider approaches a fort to warn soldiers of an Indian attack, leading to a battle where troops stream out to confront the attacking Indians, and the story concludes with a captured warrior being interrogated by Colonel Marsden. "Long Bow," credited to Captain Stuart Kerrigan, presents a narrative in which an old medicine man scolds youths for laughing at fire-worshippers on a mountainside, explaining a legend about a giant totem watched over by strikewalkers, and recounting a tale of dawned people from when the youths' fathers were children.
